As far as the relay goes make sure it is a 12V coil and then make sure the contacts can handle the current draw of the electric choke. I believe they typically draw less than 1 amp, but at initial activation they will draw much more until they are heated up.

When using any of the other American Autowire wiring KITS such as a Classic Update, Power Plus, Highway, or Builder Series, you simply need to take any ignition fused 12 volt feed (use about a 10 amp fused) and connect it to your electric choke assembly.

Like Ford did on literally millions of cars. I've used many Ford, Holley, and Edelbrock electric chokes and hooked every one up this way and all worked fine. They're all just bi-metallic coils that unwind as electricity is put through them. None are all that sensitive to exactly how many volts are being put to them.
